TV Watch brings short, silent, grayscale video loops to Apple Watch and compatible rectangular watch face complications. It is inspired by the 1982 Seiko TV Watch. TV Watch is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Seiko.

Get started

  1. Install TV Watch on your iPhone and paired Apple Watch.
  2. Open the Watch app. Orbita, an original 30-second animation, is already included.
  3. Wait until the app reports that 30 frames are ready for widgets.
  4. Add Full video to a compatible rectangular complication slot. On Modular Duo, add Top video and Bottom video to the two rectangular slots.

Import your video

In the iPhone app, choose From Photos or From Files. Wait for conversion, then tap Send to Watch. Keep your paired devices nearby and open TV Watch on the Watch. The transfer may continue in the background.

TV Watch uses the first 30 seconds, repeats shorter videos and preserves the aspect ratio. Playback is silent, grayscale and 1 frame per second. Only one video is active: each new transfer replaces the previous one. Use Restore Orbita on the Watch to return to the included animation. Import only videos you have permission to use.

If the complication has not updated

Open TV Watch on the Watch, wait for frame preparation to finish and tap Refresh widgets. Check that the selected complication belongs to TV Watch. watchOS controls refresh timing and Always-On behavior; animation can pause while the screen is inactive.

Compatibility and privacy

Requires iOS 17 or later and watchOS 10 or later. Import and transfer require a paired iPhone. The iPad version can convert and preview videos locally but cannot pair with Apple Watch. TV Watch adds complications to supported watch faces, not a new watch face.

Conversion happens on your iPhone. The video is transferred to your paired Watch and is not uploaded to a server operated by the developer. There are no accounts, ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases. See the privacy policy.

Per iniziare

  1. Installa TV Watch sull’iPhone e sull’Apple Watch abbinato.

  3. Attendi che l’app indichi che i 30 fotogrammi sono pronti per i widget.
  4. Aggiungi Video intero a uno spazio rettangolare compatibile. Su Modulare Duo inserisci Video alto e Video basso nei due spazi rettangolari.

Importare un video

Nell’app iPhone scegli Da Foto o Da File. Attendi la conversione e tocca Invia al Watch. Tieni vicini i dispositivi abbinati e apri TV Watch sul Watch. Il trasferimento può proseguire in background.

TV Watch usa i primi 30 secondi, ripete i video più brevi e conserva le proporzioni. La riproduzione è senza audio, in scala di grigi e a 1 fotogramma al secondo. È attivo un solo video: ogni nuovo invio sostituisce il precedente. Sul Watch puoi usare Ripristina Orbita per tornare all’animazione inclusa. Importa solo video che hai il diritto di utilizzare.

Se la complicazione non si aggiorna

Apri TV Watch sul Watch, attendi che finisca la preparazione e tocca Aggiorna widget. Verifica di aver scelto una complicazione di TV Watch. watchOS gestisce i tempi di aggiornamento e il display sempre attivo: l’animazione può fermarsi quando lo schermo non è attivo.

Compatibilità e privacy

Servono iOS 17 o successivo e watchOS 10 o successivo. Per importare e trasferire serve un iPhone abbinato. Su iPad puoi convertire e visualizzare i video localmente, ma non abbinare Apple Watch. TV Watch aggiunge complicazioni ai quadranti compatibili, non installa un nuovo quadrante.

La conversione avviene sull’iPhone. Il video viene trasferito al Watch abbinato e non caricato su server dello sviluppatore. Non ci sono account, pubblicità, abbonamenti o acquisti in-app. Consulta l’informativa privacy.
